The story has good humor in it, and teaches a kind of lesson, although it's a bit odd here and there (which isn't bad). Abercrombie introduced this world and cast in such a tale, but I like The Heroes, BSCand red country better than first law, because they are familiar allegories set in his ultra violent fantasy world.
