Just a wonderful insight into a gifted and very special man. In her last year without her father she had to learn to be self-reliant and resilient, because her mother was not able to provide and support the family. Nevertheless, the writing was still a bit stilted at times and at times the pacing of the story was grueling slow. Characters are adequately described; the dialog is serviceable; the settings (Monaco, Dulwich, Deal, Penzance, Lincoln, Munich and the Scilly Isles) are attractively depicted, but the plot's the thing. even though you will read the story in minutes. One redeeming feature is the detailed description of Little Rock which is interesting.
