As such, Chaffin's text moves well beyond a simple chronological accounting. But I didn’t feel a part of the story, I didn’t feel involved myself and I would have liked to have been. This has shot to the top of my list of gifts for middle-grade readers, and I'll go back to it myself at least a couple more times. An adorable, clever story. Disruption did not disappoint me. I'm looking forward to every edition to the series. These two unlikely neighbors become best buddies over the duration of the book, changing one another's lives for the better, perhaps saving each other's lives completely. It has been widely quoted, frequently translated, and often imitated, earning a global reputation.
